Worked as a Cogntive Behaviour Psychotherapist/High Intensity Trainee. My main role was to provide assessment and treatment to client referred to the service. The service mainly worked with clients presenting with depression and various anxiety disorders including; panic disorder, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and post traumatic stress amongst others. I also provided supervision for telephone assessments conducted by Low Intensity Therapists.
Community Mental Health Practitioner
North Southwark Home Treatment Team
June 2010 - October 2010
Community Psychiatric Nurse. Assessing clients referred from the community, A&E and inpatient wards. This was to determine whether the clients referred would be admitted into hospital or looked at home by the team. Worked closely with community teams and inpatient wards as part of the Whole Systems approach to client care. Once clients had been accepted by the team, my role involved continuous assessment of clients' mental state, and general well being and feeding this back to the referring team or their community team. Other duties included; Named worker for clients and responsible for co-ordinating their care Co-ordinating the shift (planning, delegating, getting feedback and handing over any outstanding duties) Administering medication Monitoring for side effects Care planning and evaluation with the clients Attending Mental Health Act Assessments Attanding Discharge meetings and writing discharge reports.

Role was similar to that I played in the North Southwark Home Treatment Team. The only addition to this job was that for a period, we worked a night shift and was rosterred to be on-call when we would provide emergency intervention to clients already admitted by the team.
