Our clients is looking to recruit Senior Care Assistants for their Nursing home in East Sussex.  This is respectable and well known home with high standard of accommodation and care.

Summary:

To be responsible for the well being, i.e. the physical, emotional and social needs of the residents, in a caring, kind and respectful manner, preserving dignity and self respect at all times, under the supervision of a registered nurse.To assist the Registered Nurse/Care Manager to plan and monitor care.

Job Description:

- To provide the highest standards of holistic care and attention for the residents.
- To participate fully in the overall care of the residents as per care plan.
- To provide support to other staff.
- To assist in maintaining safe levels of care and assuring safe practice by supervising care assistants.
- To help provide essential physical and mental stimulation by participating in recreational and social activities with residents individually, or in a group.
- To assist in maintaining accurate records in accordance with registration and legal requirements.
- To carry out instructions by senior staff in an efficient and conscientious manner.
- To carry out procedures as instructed by Registered Nurses/Care Manager.
- To attend staff training, staff meetings and mandatory training.
- To report any accidents relating to staff and/or residents as per procedures.
- To be respectful and courteous when dealing with colleagues relatives and other public and professional people, and so promoting company philosophies.
- To be prepared to undertake any aspects of care or non caring duties requested by Care Manager.
- To assist and facilitate in the welcoming and training of new staff members.

Tier 2 work visa could be arranged for experienced and qualified candidates.
